The success of WeChat - a mobile commerce platform - is gaining worldwide attention as an effective social media business tool. With a few clicks on their smartphones, users can call a cab, pay utility bills and buy groceries. To learn how to harness the power of WeChat, 35 Singapore business owners headed to Shanghai. There, they spent four days going through SIRS' Digital Immersion Programme that provided insights into how businesses could harness the power of mobile commerce. They also picked up tips on how to integrate it into their digital commerce strategy to elevate their business. The programme impressed the participants and five have already expressed interest to adopt WeChat as part of their business expansion plans.
