The Singapore Army is committed to the development of a vibrant national cyber defence (CD) ecosystem. To achieve this, it forges strong partnerships with the industry and academia to harness her respective strengths to nature CD professionals and deliver innovative CD solutions. This will significantly contribute towards our collective security within the cyber domain.
 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Army, Singapore Technology Electronics (STE Info-Security) and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) was signed on March 14, opening ways for the Army to accelerate training efforts to build up the human capital required to support near-term development and anchor long-term sustainability.
 

Under the MOU, the three parties will collaborate in six key areas: This includes developing a well-rounded and customised cyber defence curriculum to educate and advance SAF personnel in the area of cyber defence. Specialised and internationally-accredited courses for SAF cyber practitioners will be introduced. There will also be industrial attachments and the setting up of a professional network to facilitate learning and network through joint seminars, project work and forums. Information sharing on best practices in cyber security threats will also be facilitated under this MOU.
