Being a full-time NYP student comes with great perks, including a variety of scholarships you are instantly eligible for. Offered by NYP and our partners, these scholarships recognise students with outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities and active CCA participation.

 

Some scholarships continue to be available for you in Year 2 and Year 3.

NYP Scholarship

Offered to top performing students of all qualification types who are pursuing full time diploma courses in NYP.

Applicable for all schools.

'O' Level Pathway ITE Pathway Polytechnic Foundation Programme Pathway Mid-Term PFP-to-Diploma Pathway

'O' Level Pathway

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top performing GCE 'O' Level students pursuing full time diploma courses in NYP. To develop scholarship recipients to their full potential, they are also required to participate in the leadership development programme for scholars.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,000
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Net score of ≤10 points (ELR2B2) in the GCE 'O' Level Exam
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion in the course
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

 

Conditions for renewal of scholarship

 

Application

  • Eligible students will be invited to apply between the first and second week of March each year
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews

ITE Pathway

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top performing ITE students pursuing full time diploma courses in NYP.  To develop scholarship recipients to their full potential, they are also required to participate in the leadership development programme for scholars.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,000
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Grade point average (GPA) of ≥3.9 in the NITEC programme OR GPA of ≥3.8 in the Higher NITEC programme
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion in the course
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

Application

  • Eligible students will be invited to apply between mid and end April each year
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews

Polytechnic Foundation Programme Pathway

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top performing GCE N(A) Level students pursuing the Polytechnic Foundation Programme in NYP.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of amount equivalent to the tuition fees payable by Singapore Citizens (after tuition grant)
  • Tenable up to 1 year of study 
  • No bond obligation

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Net aggregate of ≤7 points (ELMAB3) in the GCE N(A) Level Exam
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion in the course
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

 

Application

  • Eligible students will be invited to apply between mid and end February each year
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews

Mid-Term

The NYP Scholarship is offered to Year 2 students who are pursuing full time diploma courses in NYP.  To develop scholarship recipients to their full potential, they are also required to participate in the leadership development programme for scholars.

PFP-to-Diploma Pathway

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top performing Polytechnic Foundation Programme graduates who are pursuing full time diploma courses in NYP. To develop scholarship recipients to their full potential, they are also required to participate in the leadership development programme for scholars.

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,000
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

Daisy Phay-NYP Foundation Scholarship

The Daisy Phay-NYP Foundation Scholarship is offered to top performing GCE 'O' Level students who have a passion for community service and are pursuing full time diploma courses in NYP.  To develop scholarship recipients to their full potential, students are also required to participate in the leadership development programme for scholars.

CSIT-Nanyang Scholarship

In support of Nanyang Polytechnic's effort in nurturing the next-generation information security specialists, the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) has partnered with Nanyang Polytechnic to offer scholarships to top performing GCE 'O' Level students ('O' Level Pathway) and Year 2 students (Mid-Term) who are pursuing any of the following Diplomas or Programme in Nanyang Polytechnic.

School of Information Technology

  • Diploma in Business & Financial Technology​

The bond-free CSIT-Nanyang Scholarship offers full sponsorship of course fees, annual allowance of $2,500, laptop allowance and enrolment in the leadership development programme. If you have a passion for Information Technology R&D in areas like Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Data Analytics, you could be the next CSIT-Nanyang scholar!

 

Furthermore, CSIT Nanyang Scholars who are eligible will be invited to apply for the CSIT Undergraduate Scholarship upon graduation.

    Mustard Seed Foundation Scholarship

    The Mustard Seed Foundation Scholarship was established by Ms Lynn Hermijanto in loving memory of her late father, Mr Toto Hermijanto. The foundation focuses its attention on the advancement of women in society. The aim of this scholarship is to support female candidates of merit and to encourage an increase in women considering career roles in business management and finance.

    • Tenable up to 2 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)

    Eligibility Criteria 

    • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
    • Year 2 full-time diploma female students from the School of Business Management (Diploma in Banking & Finance preferred)

    • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

    Choo-Lim Scholarship

    The Choo-Lim Scholarship aims to encourage and support students to pursue learning excellence during the duration of their studies. The Scholarship recognises ASEAN students from the School of Engineering or the School of Health & Social Sciences.

     

    Value & Tenure of Scholarship

    • Annual allowance of $2,500 for 1 year
    • No bond obligation

     

    Eligibility Criteria 

    • Singapore Citizens or ASEAN Citizens
    • Good conduct
    • Year 2 or 3 students from SEG or SHSS (Diploma in Nursing)
    • Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.8
    • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

    Lim Tiam Seng Scholarship

    The Lim Tiam Seng Scholarship is available to Year 2 or Year 3 students from the School of Applied Science or the School of Engineering.

     

    Value & Tenure of Scholarship

    • Annual allowance of $2,500 for 1 year
    • No bond obligation
    • Recipients must perform community service for the local farming industry (working on research/projects related to the agri-tech sector for not less than 25 hours, to be completed within 1 year from the award of the scholarship)

    • Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.5
