Graduation Day

Diploma Folder, Certificates & Transcripts

Collection of Diploma Folder and Certificates during Graduation Ceremony

  • To ensure that all diplomas are correctly issued, the diploma folder issued on stage will not contain any document.
  • After leaving the stage, you will be ushered to a counter in the auditorium foyer to collect your diploma certificate and graduation souvenir. You can keep the diploma folder with you.
  • Please return to your seat immediately after collecting your diploma. Do not remain outside to take photographs. There will be sufficient time after the ceremony for you to take photographs with your guests.

For those who are unable to attend the Graduation Ceremony

  • If you are unable to attend the Graduation Ceremony, you may collect your diploma from 31 May 2024.
  • Please collect your diploma from i@Central (Blk A, Level 1, A.146, facing the auditorium) during office hours.
  • You must make an appointment before visiting i@Central.
  • Please bring along your identification document (NYP Student Card, NRIC or Passport) for verification purposes.
  • If you are unable to collect your diploma in person, you may authorise, in writing, a proxy to collect the diploma on your behalf. The last 4 digits of your proxy's NRIC number must be clearly stated in the authorisation letter. Your proxy must bring along his/her NRIC for verification when collecting your diploma.
  • Please collect your diploma promptly. While the polytechnic makes every effort to safe keep uncollected diplomas, we will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any uncollected diplomas.

OpenCerts - Digital Certificate

NYP is part of the OpenCerts Project led by the Government Technology Agency of Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore.

Under this initiative, graduates will receive an OpenCert (which is a digital certificate secured by blockchain technology). This will be delivered to both your NYP and personal email addresses and is in addition to the physical copy of your diploma.

You can email this digital certificate directly to potential employers/universities. They can then verify its authenticity at https://opencerts.io

A copy of your digital certificate will also be uploaded to your MySkillsFuture Skills Passport – a secure repository that allows you to document your skills, certificates and licences  – for easy access.

For international students, kindly refer to this page on the MySkillsFuture Portal ("Individuals" tab) on how you can retrieve your certificates.

Should you have any questions about this OpenCerts initiative, please email contactNYP@nyp.edu.sg

More information on OpenCerts can be found here.
