Singapore Robotic Games 2017
School of Engineering

105 students from the School of Engineering participated in the annual Singapore Robotic Games held at the Science Centre on 18 and 19 January 2017. There are a total of 12 categories in this competition open to our students, out of which we participated in 7 categories. The participants were largely from the polytechnics, ITE and Asian countries.

NYP engineering students showed that they were clearly a cut above the rest when they became the most bemedalled institution at the event. Our students applied their skills in engineering to design, build and programme robots according to the individual category requirements. Their passion and dedication resulted in NYP winning gold medals in 5 categories, namely, Humanoid Robot Competition, Legged Robot Marathon Race, Open Category, RC Underwater Robot Competition and Wall Climbing Robot Race.
