Course Aim

The Specialist Diploma in Clinical Trials Management aims to develop competent professionals such as Clinical Research Coordinator and Clinical Trials Assistant, for the clinical trials industry. With in-depth knowledge and skills that will allow them to respond effectively in a rapidly changing health arena that is strongly influenced by healthcare trends and both local and international legislations.


 

Course Educational Objectives

The Specialist Diploma in Clinical Trials Management aspires to produce graduates who can leverage on their acquired skills and knowledge in drug development process, good clinical practices (GCP), research ethics, as well as day-to-day operations of clinical trials to tackle the varied challenges. The skills in communication, teamwork, information technology and statistics learned will groom graduates into team player and team leader.

Apply knowledge of Good Clinical Practice to obtain smooth operation of clinical trials activities.

Plan and prepare for trials activities, from trials start-up to trials completion.

Entry Requirements

The admission requirement is a Diploma / Degree in life sciences, pharmacy or nursing with preference given to those who have at least six months of experience in clinical trials related field.

 


 

Course Certifcation

Participants who meet the assessment and attendance requirements of four modules under the each post-diploma cert (PDC) will be awarded the respective PDC.

 

Participants will be awarded the Specialist Diploma in Clinical Trials Management upon successful completion of 2 PDCs. The award of the Specialist Diploma is governed by the Polytechnic’s examinations rules and regulations.

 

 

Who Should Attend

The course is targeted at nurses, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology polytechnic graduates at diploma or university level.

Above fees quoted are based on prevailing funding policies and subject to review by MOE on a year-by-year basis. A supplementary fee of $18.35
(incl GST and subject to change) for Exam fees and Group personal insurance is payable per Post-Diploma Certificate.
