Part-Time Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Introduction

The Aerospace industry is rapidly growing as Singapore develops into an aviation hub. This has led to more and more precision engineering companies emerging to support the designing and manufacturing of high value-added aircraft engine parts and components. These companies are not only actively seeking diploma graduates with a knowledge of aerospace technology, they are also upgrading their existing workforce to meet the challenges of a dynamic environment.

With the Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace Manufacturing), you can

• support the current needs of the precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing companies
• be employed as engineers, engineering assistants or technologists in specialist positions in the precision engineering, aerospace components, aerospace engine parts and aerospace manufacturing industry 

Course Duration

• The course comprises five semesters and can be completed in 2 ½ year on a part-time basis

• The course is conducted in English

• Classes are conducted on three evening a week from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm

Admission Requirements

You are welcome to apply if you have:

• GCE 'O' level with English language (grade 1-7), Mathematics(grade 1-6) and a Science subject (grade 1-6) or equivalent with at least three years of relevant work experience

• Nitec GPA ≥ 3.5 with at least two years of relevant work experience

• Higher Nitec with at least one year of relevant work experience

• relevant WSQ qualifications (depending on sector, programme & level - bridging course may be required) with relevant working experience. WPLN (Level ≥ 6) may be accepted as equivalent English Language & Mathematics requirements. 

Delivery and Assessment

The course consists of lectures, tutorials, lab work, case studies, group discussions and projects. Assessments comprise in-course assessments, project work and examinations.

Course Fees And Funding

*Please note that a supplementary fee of $25.21 is payable each semester.
*Fees are payable per semester and are inclusive of GST.

A CET Qualification Award of $1,000 will also be issued to first-time Singaporean diploma graduates upon attaining the full diploma within the candidature period as long as it is a higher qualification than other full qualifications previously attained.
