NYPSO: SINFONIETTA 2016

Initiated last year, “Sinfonietta” is NYP Symphony Orchestra’s third concert series which showcase freshmen and junior orchestra members who have started learning their instruments just this year. They performed familiar tunes such as Ave Maria, The Pink Panther, and Theme from Capriccio Italian. Besides featuring our newcomers, the senior musicians also performed ensemble works which include Michael Jackson Medley, Colours of the Wind, West Side Story, and more.
A total of 90 students from the Orchestra either performed or assisted in the running of the concert. 11 alumni also took their time off to perform alongside with their juniors. The concert was organised on 9 Nov at the NYP Convention Centre.
