SEG student Eugene Lee with his team's creation, ProCube X

We won again for the Lee Hsien Loong Interactive Digital Media (LHL-IDM) Smart Nation Award! The award, presented by MOE, recognises poly students who have completed IDM projects that improve the lives of Singaporeans. Book Morphosis, an app for sharing pre-loved books, and ProCube X, an interactive cube for children with dyslexia, were the winning projects.

The team behind Book Morphosis - Chu Jia Hao, Li Yuan Xin, both from SIT, and Jasmine Cheong from SBM.

Book Morphosis, a collaboration between SIT and SBM students, provides an easy way for users to donate and share their pre-loved books. Using artificial intelligence and location-based services, it allows users to easily search for a book and indicate a mutual pick-up location. ProCube X, a project by an SEG student and alumnus, helps children with dyslexia learn the alphabet, expand their vocabulary, understand mathematics and even identify shapes in a provider-assisted or self-directed learning session. The duo recently represented Singapore at the Microsoft ImagineCup World Finals in Seattle, US last month.
