New National Workplace Learning Certification to Plug Gaps in Workers’ Learning
Published on 06 May 2021

A new framework, called the National Workplace Learning (WpL) certification, has been launched to help to identify and plug gaps in workers’ learning.

The certification was developed by the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE) led by NYP and supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

The certification was launched by Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Finance, on 06 May at SMRT's Mandai Depot.

NYP’s Director of NACE Dr Phua Chee Teck told the media that the purpose of the new certification is to recognise a company's ability to train its employees and attract talent for business development. With the certification, companies accrue significant benefits, like being nominated to Manpower Ministry's much sought after Human Capital Partnership (HCP) Programme. This gives organisations faster responses and higher service standards from MOM.

Companies will also be eligible for the SkillsFuture Employer Award, which honours exemplary organisations that champion employees' skills development.
