NYP has won three Golds, two Silvers and one Commendation Award at the 2022 MOE Innergy Awards. We also have three recipients for the Outstanding Innovator Award.

The MOE Innergy Awards recognise teams who have brought about significant benefits and impact in their workplaces in two areas: academic and work processes.

NYP’s submissions for 2022 cover a wide range of areas, from devising a sustainable solution for cultured meat to the streamlining of short CET courses.

One of the gold awards for this year comes from a combined SBM/SEG team with their project: Apti-Explorer: an AI-assisted Assessment Engine for Aptitude Tests. The project uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to digitalise some of our work processes related to evaluating Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) applicants. The engine, which is developed in-house, is trained to recognise diploma-specific traits and to discover the users’ strengths.

The Outstanding Innovator Award is given to individuals who have been key influencers of innovation in their workplaces. Out of the five awards given out by MOE, three went to NYP. The recipients are: Gan Heng Hui (SAS), Leow Zhen Zhen (SIT) and Zaw Hlwan Moe (SEG). Heng Hui works with industry partners on research and innovation in food safety and sustainability. Her wide range of projects include research on more eco-friendly disinfectant to looking at how to transform traditional Chinese medicine to ready-to-drink beverages.
