1. What is the SkillsFuture Credit?
The SkillsFuture Credit is an amount of S$500 in initial credit to empower all Singaporeans, aged 25 and above, in their learning and skills development. You can use your SkillsFuture Credit to pay for work skills-related courses to advance your skills in your current field or to develop skills outside your current area of work.
Your SkillsFuture Credit can be used on top of existing course fee subsidies provided by the Government. You will receive further top-ups to your SkillsFuture Credit account at regular intervals. Your credit will not expire, but can only be used for education and training to offset course fees.
2. How can I claim for the SkillsFuture Credit?
You may like to refer to the videos at the SkillsFuture website on how to “Check Account Balance”, “Submit Claims”, “Check Claim Status” and “Manage Claim Cancellation”.
3. At which point during course application process should I apply at the SkillsFuture website to make use of my credits?
You should apply to make use of your SkillsFuture Credit only after you have received confirmation that you have been placed on the course and have been issued with the invoice for payment. If you had inadvertently applied for the SkillsFuture beforehand, you can cancel the application and resubmit a fresh application after you have been confirmed and billed for the course.
