Course objectives
The Post-Diploma Certificate in Nutrition Research & Analytical Methods (PDC1 of Specialist Diploma in Nutrition Science) aims to prepare the learners in the following:1. Introduce nutritional biochemistry in health and disease to enable students to explore the roles of nutrients and non-nutrients in the biological systems. 2. Provide an introduction to various research study methodologies and its application to nutrition practices. 3. Provide a broad understanding on the established and new analytical methods that are employed in the analysis required for the Nutrition Information Panel. 4. Allow students to have a basic understanding in the tabulation of a nutritional panel using lab derived data and the implications of the data obtained with the method of analysis.
