Course objectives
The Specialist Diploma aims to deepen the knowledge and skills of fresh graduates in developing customised robotic and automation solutions to improve operational productivity. It is designed to equip them with advanced hands-on skillets in the field of robotics and simulation, machine controls and communications, automation systems, automated machine design and the integration of robots with automation systems.
Course description
In view of the recent developments in IoT, Data Analytics, and AI, that are being applied to manufacturing systems and robotics to improve productivity and equipment effectiveness (as also reflected in the RIE2025 plan) the Specialist Diploma in Robotics and Automation Systems Design incorporated IoT and its industrial variant, Industry Internet of Things (IIoT), AI, Data Analytics, and Industry 4.0 into its curriculum so that learners will be able to apply these technologies to robotics and automation. The module has a total of 300 hours of training and will cover the following PDCs.PDC1: Post-Diploma Certificate in Robotics & Automation Systems PDC2: Post-Diploma Certificate in Automated Machine Design
