Course objectives

Palliative care entails the management of patients with death and dying issues. The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Palliative Care) provides students with the necessary in-depth knowledge and understanding of nursing and medical management as well as the advanced palliative care skills required for practice in this specialty.

Course description

Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Palliative Care) course will be offered full-time over 33 weeks. Total curriculum is 860 hours comprising 420 hours of academic studies and 440 of clinical practice. The following PDCs are covered under this programme:

1. Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Science of Palliative Care Nursing

2. Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Palliative Care Nursing 1

3. Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Palliative Care Nursing

4. Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Palliative Care Nursing 2
