Internet of Things (IoT) Open Innovation Community

 

 

The IoT Open Innovation Community (IOIC) is a synergistic open innovation network that brings together enterprises, technology partners, research and knowledge institutions and relevant industry catalysts to explore, experiment, collaborate and exploit the potential of the IoT for new business innovations, opportunities and growth.

The Community provides a platform to:

  • Establish networks among participating members and develop thematic programmes to stimulate business and services innovation leveraging on IoT technologies.
  • Initiate partnership and collaboration between enterprises and lead-demand organisations to co-innovate IoT solutions to optimise/enhance existing businesses and to establish new markets.
  • Partner participating players to establish sharing platforms for technology insights and development, market scans and analysis, access to IPs and capabilities development.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to develop platforms and application cases/models for rapid adoption and adaptation.

NYP Industry Services

  • Additive Manufacturing

    Additive Manufacturing constitutes part of the expertise of NYP’s School of Engineering.

    The Additive Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) is a Centre of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing Technology & Design Innovations set-up jointly by EDB and NYP and located at Nanyang Polytechnic. The strategic intents of AMIC is to support the national AM initiatives to drive greater industry AM adoption and develop core capabilities in Design for AM optimization & process innovation, besides supporting the needs of NYP’s PET and CET programmes.

    It also provides co-creation, collaboration and project incubation services for industry and conducts regular sharing sessions, clinics, etc.

  • Automation & Mechatronics Systems

    Automation & Mechatronics Systems (AMS) constitutes part of the expertise of NYP’s School of Engineering and it is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of project engineers, designers and technologists.
  • Animation/Digital Visual Effects/Games Design & Development

    Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design & Media (SDM) supports Singapore’s vision to be an Interactive & Digital Media hub. It focuses on animation, games design & development, interactive media, visual effects, advertising and the entertainment industry.
  • Automation & Robotics Innovation Centre

    The Automation and Robotics Innovation Centre (ARiC) is a Centre of Excellence for Automation & Robotics Technology established jointly by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Nanyang Polytechnic.
  • Centre of Innovation for Electronics & IoT (COI-EIoT)

    Powered by a deep expertise in electronics and computer engineering, the Centre of Innovation for Electronics & Internet of Things (COI-EIoT) was jointly established by NYP and Enterprise Singapore (formerly SPRING Singapore) in 2008. It helps local enterprises up their capabilities in product innovation, especially in the adoption of technology, so that they can better compete and grow in a fiercely competitive world.
  • Design Service

    The School of Design & Media (SDM) offers a variety of design consultancy and services to help industry take advantage of the skills, experience and creativity of our staff and students.
  • Applied Science

    NYP’s School of Applied Science has expertise in Biochemical Science, Food Science, Nutrition Science, Food Safety, and Chemical Technology Research. It has been assisting the growth of local companies through the development of innovative products for the market, and the provision of safety testing and quality analysis of their products.

    Other services provided range from trace metal analysis, personal care product formulation and analysis, valorisation of food waste, new product development, consumer sensory evaluation, to urban solutions and sustainability.
