THE SAME JOURNEY!
After graduating from Greenridge Secondary School, I started my diploma course at the School of IT, NYP. I can't remember if I had put down NYP as my first choice, but I was glad that I got in! Studying at NYP was one of the best experiences I have ever had.
A memorable experience I had was when I volunteered to be a group leader for Freshmen Orientation. It was a good experience learning new things from my seniors. I was extremely nervous as I did not know how I would be able to keep the class engaged. However, I was assigned to one of the most amazing bunch of people, and that was the class BA1403. There were many amazing freshmen who were always enthusiastic in all the activities. It was such an eye-opening experience for me and really made me feel like a 'parent' who just wanted to make sure my 'kids' were having an amazing day with me. I hope they're all proud of their journey. You're never done learning. To be able to learn from people who have years of experience under their belts is priceless. A huge shoutout to my seniors who helped me along the way!
With all the best things I have taken away from NYP, I'm currently working and self-learning every day to better assist clients with their projects. If I can share something with my fellow NYPians, it is to remember that everyone comes from different backgrounds and to always love one another as you're all going through the same journey!
