Common Science Programme (C27)

DHANESH S/O SANGAR (Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science)

I chose the Common Science Programme (CSP) due to my love for science, but also due to my confusion on what to choose as a specialisation initially. I've benefitted from choosing the CSP due to the diploma exposure activities and workshops that were offered, which enhanced my awareness of the different diplomas. The workshops were considerably the deciding factor for my specialisation as they dug deep into what will happen over the next 2 years about what I would be doing, the different internships, the companies involved and so on. The CSP would really help lot if you have a burning passion for science, but unsure on what to choose. You won't regret choosing this course!

LEE YING (Diploma in Chemical & Pharmaceutical Technology)

I chose the Common Science Programme (CSP) because, after completing my O level exams, I was still unsure about my true passion and interests. It was the unique workshops and “taster” lessons within the CSP that ultimately guided me towards my final decision, which was to pursue the Diploma in Chemical & Pharmaceutical Technology.

One particular experience that left a lasting impression on me was the Sci-Zania! workshop. During this workshop, I had the opportunity to explore the Secondary Pharmaceutical Technology Centre and participated in gowning and clean room activity. What truly resonated with me was when the lecturer mentioned that women working in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries are always incredibly confident. This statement not only inspired me but also motivated me to work harder and continue my studies with determination.
