NYP Symphony Orchestra’s annual concert – Sinfonia 2019: Dancing in the Wind took place on 6 Dec, 2019 at the NYP Auditorium. The concert featured performances by the NYPSO Wind Orchestra, String Ensemble and the combined Symphony Orchestra. A total of 105 students and 12 alumni performed that evening. The show was well-attended by NYP students and staff, friends and families, CCA student leaders, as well as NYP alumni.

Under the baton of our Resident Conductor Dr. Leonard Tan and Associate Conductor Mr. Louis Yeo, the repertoire consisted of dance music iconic to various countries, from Armenia to Ireland, and featured dance genres such as tap dance and waltz. The Concert ended off with a lively encore Japanese girl group AKB48’s medley. This item really hyped up the audience and sent them home clapping and singling along, ending the concert on a high note.
