What's the best part about being fraternal twins? Sharing life goals and interests. We’ve always had a passion for mathematics and physics since young. We'd fix things together and our family rarely needed to hire an electrician. We were inspired by our elder sister, who is herself an engineer. Her projects encouraged us to pursue a Diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering at NYP.
Prior to sending in our school choices, we decided to speak to a few NYP seniors. We had many questions and wanted to make sure that the school was right for us. Many of them shared that the school has a nurturing environment. On top of that, the lecturers are helpful and friendly – we were sold!
Luckily enough, both of us were accepted into the same course and class. We were so excited to experience poly life together – after all, we've been best friends since birth (haha).
Life in poly is different. There are so many assignments and projects. But we're positive that we will get through this together. We've also grown to become more adaptable because of the pandemic. The home-based learning schedule at NYP has allowed us to not miss a beat! Our lecturers are always just a call or text away whenever we need any clarifications or help.
The funny stuff? Getting a double take when we walk alongside in campus, or getting confused for each other by classmates and lecturers.
Our journey as budding engineers has only just begun, and we’re really excited! Coming here was the right choice for us, and we haven't looked back since.
