I never thought that my love for drawing would lead me to sketching illustrations for DPM! But this was just one of the many varied opportunities and experiences that are made available to me with this diploma course.

I have always been interested in art from doodling the people around me to hands-on arts and craft. So, when I had the opportunity to secure a place in NYP’s Diploma in Animation via the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE), I jumped at it. I’d heard about the wide range of awesome skills I could acquire and the NYP course is well regarded, so it was my first choice.

I remember how excited I was when I prepared my proudest pieces to showcase at my EAE interview. I recall sharing the background to my art pieces, the inspiration behind them, and why they mattered to me. I was accepted! And I've made it to the Directors’ List for three consecutive semesters thus far.

It’s been an awesome ride. I know I could have done the JC route with my O level scores, but this has been an amazing journey. I am glad I tried out the EAE.
