Freshies hit up the Student Life Carnival

On a Wednesday, a little past 2pm, groups of students were spotted around campus carrying balloons, props, and keeping up chatter. Some were decked in lion dance pants and martial arts outfits. At various parts of the campus, booths had also been attractively set up, beckoning passers-by over to speak with the hosts. There were also mini games.

Our Student Life Carnival, an annual affair, is finally back on campus after two virtual runs due to COVID-19. A CCA recruitment drive, this carnival offers our freshmen a first look at the different CCAs available at NYP.  The three-day event is organised by SDAR, and ran from 20-22 Apr. Organising lead Lim Wee How (SDAR) shares: “We've been planning this since last year. We were, honestly, a little rusty after a two-year hiatus. But the reward of seeing the excited faces of NYP students participating in the activities more than makes up for it.”
