Offered by Nanyang Polytechnic and our partners, these scholarships recognise students with outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities and active CCA participation.

NYP Scholarship (O-Level Pathway)

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top-performing GCE O-Level students pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,000 to S$3,300
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Net score of ≤9 points (ELR2B2) in the GCE O-Level Exam
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion for the course

NYP Scholarship (ITE Pathway)

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top-performing ITE students pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,000 to S$3,300
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Grade point average (GPA) of ≥3.9 in the NITEC programme OR GPA of ≥3.8 in the Higher NITEC programme
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct

NYP Scholarship (Polytechnic Foundation Programme Pathway)

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top-performing GCE N(A)-Level students pursuing the Polytechnic Foundation Programme in NYP.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of the amount equivalent to the tuition fees payable by Singapore Citizens (after tuition grant)
  • Tenable up to 1 year of study 
  • No bond obligation

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Net aggregate of ≤6 points (ELMAB3) in the GCE N(A)-Level Exam
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion for the course
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews

NYP Scholarship (Mid-Term)

The NYP Scholarship is offered to Year 2 students who are pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

NYP Scholarship (PFP-to-Diploma Pathway)

The NYP Scholarship is offered to top performing Polytechnic Foundation Programme graduates who are pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

Value & tenure of Scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,000 to S$3,300
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

  • More than four As in the PFP modules

NYP Scholarship (Sports & Arts)

The NYP Scholarship is offered to students pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP who excel in specialised fields relating to sports or the arts.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,300
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)
  • No bond obligation

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Good academic results
  • Representation at national level Sports/Arts competitions or performances
  • Has achieved honours individually or as part of a team in Sports (ie. at least third place or bronze medal) or in the Arts (at any recognised level of distinction or achievement)
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion for the course
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

  • Participation in the NYP Lumina Programme
  • Continue engaging in the Sports/Arts activities disclosed during the interview, which led to the awarding of the NYP Sports & Arts Scholarship

Daisy Phay-NYP Foundation Scholarship

The Daisy Phay-NYP Foundation Scholarship is offered to top-performing GCE O-Level students who have a passion for community service and are pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.

 

Scholarship recipients are also required to participate in the NYP Lumina Programme, to develop their full potential.

  • Annual education allowance of S$3,300
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)

CSIT-Nanyang Scholarship

In support of Nanyang Polytechnic's effort in nurturing the next-generation information security specialists, the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) has partnered with Nanyang Polytechnic to offer scholarships to top performing GCE 'O' Level students ('O' Level Pathway) and Year 2 students (Mid-Term) who are pursuing any of the following Diplomas or Programme in Nanyang Polytechnic.

 

School of Information Technology

  • Common ICT Programme
  • Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics
  • Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics​

The bond-free CSIT-Nanyang Scholarship offers full sponsorship of course fees, annual allowance of $2,500, laptop allowance and enrolment in the leadership development programme. If you have a passion for Information Technology R&D in areas like Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Data Analytics, you could be the next CSIT-Nanyang scholar!

 

Furthermore, CSIT Nanyang Scholars who are eligible will be invited to apply for the CSIT Undergraduate Scholarship upon graduation.

CSIT is an agency in the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) that focuses on R&D and solutions development in information and communications technologies to fulfil the strategic needs of Singapore.

Whom to contact

A*STAR Science Award (Polytechnic)

The A*STAR Science Award (Polytechnic) recognises Singaporean Year 2 or 3 polytechnic students with outstanding academic performance in science and mathematics, as well as a strong passion for science and research. The award nurtures young scientific talent by supporting their development in research and innovation. Awardees are given opportunities to undertake a research internship or Final Year Project at an A*STAR research institute, where they gain hands‑on experience and work alongside researchers. They will also be invited to A*STAR seminars, events, and talks, and receive regular updates on the latest developments in research.​

Mustard Seed Foundation Scholarship

The Mustard Seed Foundation Scholarship was established by Ms Lynn Hermijanto in loving memory of her late father, Mr Toto Hermijanto. The foundation focuses on the advancement of women in society and aims to encourage greater participation of women in business management and finance.

  • Annual allowance of $3,000
  • Tenable up to 2 years of study in NYP (renewable annually)

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents​

Choo-Lim Scholarship

The Choo-Lim Scholarship aims to encourage and support students to pursue learning excellence during the duration of their studies.

  • Annual allowance of $2,500 for 1 year

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or ASEAN Citizens​

  • Good conduct​

  • Year 2 or 3 students from the School of Engineering or the Diploma in Nursing

  • Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.8​

  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

Lim Tiam Seng Scholarship

The Lim Tiam Seng Scholarship is available to Year 2 or Year 3 students from the School of Applied Science or the School of Engineering.

Value & tenure of scholarship

  • Annual allowance of $2,500 for 1 year
  • No bond obligation
  • Recipients must perform community service for the local farming industry (working on research/projects related to the agri-tech sector for not less than 25 hours, to be completed within 1 year from the award of the scholarship)

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Singapore Citizens
  • Year 2 or 3 students
  • Good conduct
  • Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.5
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships/sponsorships

Ngee Ann Kongsi Tertiary Awards

The Ngee Ann Kongsi Tertiary Award supports deserving Teochew students pursuing full-time studies at local universities and polytechnics. Scholarships are given to students with good academic results while study awards are given to those who need financial assistance.​
