- Interns profile: NYP interns are final-year students, well-trained in their respective fields.
- Duration: Depending on the diploma programme, the duration of the internship varies from 12 to 24 weeks, usually from March to October.
- Allowance: The recommended baseline monthly allowance differs among diplomas and sectors. The allowance is mutually agreed upon through discussions between companies and internship coordinators.
- Insurance: NYP's full-time students on internships are covered under the Work Injury Compensation (WIC) insurance. Injuries occurred during the duration of their internships (local and overseas) will be covered, up to $50,000 per injury.
Funding
If your company is seeking to expand and build a strong talent pipeline, you could qualify for funding under the Global Ready Talent Programme. Helmed by Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the programme offers Singapore companies up to 70% funding support on the monthly internship allowance.
