The Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS) Scheme is administered by Yayasan Mendaki. It is an education subsidy for Malay students which covers their Tuition Fees.

Application Period
- Semester 1 - 25 Feb to 30 Apr
- Semester 2 - 16 Sep to 31 Oct
Any applications received after the closing date(s) will be deemed for the subsequent semester.
Who can apply?
You must meet the following requirements:
- You are a full-time subsidised diploma Malay student who is Singaporean, or Singapore Permanent Resident with at least one Singaporean citizen parent.
- Your race or the first component of the double-barrelled race is Malay.
- Your monthly household per capita income (PCI) does not exceed $2,000.
Subsidy Value
Per Capita Income (PCI) Eligible Subsidy S$ 1,400 and below 100% S$1,401 to S$1,700 75% S$1,701 to S$2,000 50%

- Successful applicant will be notified directly by Yayasan Mendaki.

Application Closing Dates
- Semester 1 - by 15 May
- Semester 2 - by 31 Oct
Any applications received after the closing date(s) will be deemed for the subsequent semester.
Who can apply?
- Singaporeans who have balances in their PSEA.
- JPAE (ITE) applicants who have earlier established a standing order (SO) for PSEA under ITE, your SO instructions also apply for all future course fee withdrawals in NYP until the SO is terminated or replaced.

Subsidy Value
- Up to 100% of Tuition Fees and Supplementary Fees, subject to available balance in PSEA.
How do I apply?
NOTICEThe Ministry of Education (MOE) is implementing system enhancements to its Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) system from 13 to 27 Apr 2026.- During this period, the application to set up and terminate PSEA Standing Order will be temporarily unavailable.
- PSEA ad hoc withdrawal applications will remain available throughout the enhancement period. However, processing of withdrawals may experience delays during this time.

- If you are 21 years old and above, login via PSEA Online application System using own Singpass Account.
- If you are below 21 years old, please request your parent/legal guardian to login via PSEA Online application System with his/her Singpass Account to submit the PSEA Standing Order application on your behalf. A legal guardian is required to upload the relevant legal document (e.g. Court document) to validate that he/she is your legal guardian.

- Parent's authorisation if sibling is below 21 years old; or
- Sibling's authorisation if sibling's age is 21 years old or above.

This is a loan scheme administered by CPF Board. For more information, please refer to CPF Website > Search > CPF Education Loan Scheme.

CPF Board does not accept late applications beyond the due date for each semester. Any applications received after the closing date(s) will be deemed for the subsequent semester.
Who can apply?
- All full-time subsidised diploma students who are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
Loan Details
- Loan amount
- Up to 100% of Tuition Fee, subject to the available balance in their CPF savings under the education scheme. The scheme does not cover supplementary fees.
- Interest payable
- Prevailing CPF Interest rate. Interest will be charged from the time the savings are withdrawn.
- Repayment period and amount
- Maximum of 12 years, minimum of $100 per month.
- Commencement of loan repayment
- 1 year after graduation or 1 year from the date of leaving the course, whichever is earlier.
How do I apply?
Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents
- Make an Online application:
- Use your SingPass to log in at CPF Website
- Select Tools and services -> Forms and e-applications -> Other Schemes -> CPF Education Loan -> Apply online.
- All parties to the application, i.e. student and CPF member must have a SingPass, 2-Step Verification (2FA) and email account before application can be made online.

To ensure that no students is denied access to Polytechnic education because of financial difficulties, MOE, through Nanyang Polytechnic has made available the Tuition Fee Loan. DBS Bank is the agent bank appointed to administer the Scheme.
Who can apply?
- For all full-time subsidised diploma students.
Loan details
- Loan amount
- Up to a maximum amount of 75% of Tuition Fees. The scheme does not cover supplementary fees.
- Interest Rate
- MOE TFL is interest-free during the course of study.
- The Interest Rate will be set by DBS Bank on 1 April and 1 October each year, based on the sum of
- (i) the 3-month compounded Singapore Overnight Rate Average as published by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“SORA”) on 1 March and 1 September of that year; and
- (ii) an additional 1.5 percentage points; or
- (iii) such other rate(s) as may be determined from time to time by the DBS Bank.
- Repayment period and amount
- Maximum of 10 years, minimum of $100 per month.
- Commencement of loan repayment
- 1 year after graduation or 1 year from the date of leaving the course, whichever is earlier.
- Criteria for guarantor
- From 21 years old to 60 years old;
- Singapore Citizen - for Singapore Citizen applicant;
- Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident - for Singapore Permanent Resident applicant;
- Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident - for foreigner applicant; and
- Not an undischarged bankrupt.
How do I apply?
NOTICE
1. From 1 July 2026, a new Higher Education Student Loan (HESL) scheme will be implemented and replace the existing Tuition Fee Loan (TFL) and Study Loan (SL).
2. Nanyang Polytechnic will stop accepting new TFL and SL applications on 31 May 2026. Students who wish to apply for a loan after the cut-off date can apply for the HESL from 1 July 2026.
