  • Intake & JAE ELR2B2 Points

    The intake places for each course and the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) ELR2B2 points serve as a guide for applicants to make an informed choice for their applications.

    (Note: ELR2B2 points is the net aggregate (after deducting CCA bonus points) of the lowest ranked students who were admitted to these course through JAE. Therefore, ELR2B2 point for each course of that year can only be determined after the JAE Posting which is based on applicants' ranking and the intake places of each course.)


  • Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE)

    Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) is an annual exercise conducted by the Ministry of Education to allow holders of Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level certificate to apply for admission to courses offered by junior colleges, Millennia Institute, polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education
  • Early Admissions Exercise (EAE)

    The Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) is an aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply and receive conditional offers for admission to polytechnic based on their aptitudes and interests. It gives the polytechnics greater flexibility to select students on criteria other than Examination results.
  • Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)

    The Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) is a one-year programme that offers a practice-oriented curriculum taught by polytechnic lecturers, to better prepare polytechnic-bound N(A) students for entry into the relevant Polytechnic Diploma courses. This is an alternative to the Sec 5 year. PFP students are given provisional places in diploma programmes, subject to them passing all modules in the one-year PFP. 
  • Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE)

    The Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) is conducted jointly by the five Polytechnics for those with the following qualifications : 

    • Holders of relevant Higher Nitec / Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC) / Certificate in Business Studies (CBS)
    • Holders of relevant Nitec/ National Technical Certificates (NTC) Grade 2
    • Final semester graduating Higher Nitec students, including those from the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
    • Final semester graduating Nitec students
  • Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE)

    The exercise is open for students with the following qualifications:

    • GCE 'O' Level holder / GCE 'A' Level holder
    • ITE Higher Nitec / Nitec holder
    • Integrated Programme (IP) /  International Baccalureate (IB)
    • SPM / UEC holder
    • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
    • Other Qualifications
  • Special Direct Admissions Exercise (SDAE)

    Admissions is assessed on a broader measure of merits/talents/preview portfolio, in addition to academic performance. Applicants will be invited for an interview / tests if shortlisted.

    The exercise is open for students with the following qualifications:

    • GCE 'O' Level holders 
    • Integrated Programme (IP Year 4) 
    • ITE Nitec holders with GCE 'O'/'N' Level qualifications
    • ITE Higher Nitec holders with GCE 'O'/'N' Level qualifications
