Course objectives
This programme provides a pathway for ITE fresh graduates to acquire relevant work experience through workplace training and deepen their academic knowledge through structured facilitated learning at the Polytechnic. It aims to deepen their skills and knowledge for career advancement in the Hospitality & Tourism Industry.

Course description
The Work-Study Certificate (Leading to Diploma in Business Practice (Hospitality & Tourism Management) is an 18-month programme comprising three Modular Certificates and 540 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT) conducted at participating companies. Graduates will be employed (full-time) by participating companies as well as attend classes 1 day a week to deepen their skills (these classes lead to a Diploma in Business Practice (Hospitality & Tourism Management)).
Target audiences
Applicants for the course should be:
NITEC (with minimum GPA of 2.0) or Higher NITEC graduates who are Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents within three years of either graduation or the Operationally Ready Date (ORD) for National Serviceman from relevant ITE programmes in Hospitality/Tourism.
In-employment ITE graduates (Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents) within three years from the date of their graduation or ORD and are currently working in the Tourism industry are welcome to apply and may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
