Course objectives
Machine Learning, or the ability of computer models to learn from data, is one of the most important subfields of artificial intelligence today with applications across different industries. Through this unit, learners will gain knowledge of the principles, potential and limitations underlying this technology in the end-to-end machine learning process. Learners will develop competencies in text analytics methods to analyse large amount of text data.

At the end of the learning unit, learners will be able to: Apply popular machine learning models to address business needs in reference to the learning algorithms used, their strengths and limitations. Perform text mining on a large amount of human language data using linguistic and statistical techniques.
