Course objectives

The Skillsfuture Career Transition Programme Certificate in Food Safety and Analysis is a structured 3-month programme aimed at equipping participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in food safety, microbiology, and quality management systems. The course prepares participants to meet the increasing demands for food safety professionals such QA&QC Supervisors, QA&QC Specialist / Food Safety Specialist, Laboratory Technician / QC Technician in the food industry by focusing on practical and theoretical aspects of food science, safety regulations and analytical methods.

Course description

This course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of food safety principles and equip learners with the practical skills required for the food industry.Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to: • Analyse foodborne microorganisms and conduct laboratory tests for food safety.• Implement quality management and food safety systems (HACCP, ISO 22000) to ensure food safety compliance.• Develop compliant food labels under Singapore Food Regulations.• Apply chemistry concepts to analyse food components such as fats, proteins, and moisture.( SCTP) Certificate in Food Safety and Analysis will be conducted in nine modules delivered via Classroom and Async e-learning:1.
