About this course
Course objectives
This Certificate in Bridging Studies for Enrolled Nurse aims to provide an opportunity for Enrolled Nurses with a NITEC or Higher NITEC in nursing qualifications to obtain higher level knowledge to enable them to be admitted to the Diploma in Nursing and cope with the rigours of the course.
Course description
Module 1: Academic Writing and Presentation Skills (45hrs)This module enables students to acquire language proficiency and the skills necessary for the preparation, presentation and writing of academic papers as part of the course requirement in the Diploma in Nursing programme.
Module 2: Fundamentals of Human Bioscience (45hrs)This module examines fundamentals of human body systems at a level appropriate to the needs of students applying to the Diploma in Nursing programme.
Module 3: Mathematics (45hrs)This module aims to provide students with the concepts of mathematics and its application to nursing practice.
Target audiences
Enrolled nurses who intend to apply for admission to the nursing diploma course but do not meet the GPA requirement of 3.0 and above with NITEC in Nursing or 2.0 and above with relevant Higher NITEC qualifications.
