About this course
Course objectives
This course is designed for F&B personnel to learn about Old World wines. Learners will enhance their appreciation of still and sparkling wines through sensory evaluation, historical context and the principles of winemaking. Learners will also learn to read and interpret information on wine labels.
Course description
Upon completion of this unit, learners will attain knowledge and skills in the following areas: 1. Develop a foundational understanding of Old World wine regions2. learn the basics of wine tasting and sensory evaluation techniques 3. Explore the processes of vinification and viticulture across different Old World regions. 4. Gain basic insights into wine pairing and food complementarity
