Introduced in 2017, the SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace (SFDW) is a foundational training programme that aims to equip Singaporean adults (including those planning to return to the workforce) with the relevant mindset and digital literacy skills for work needed in the current and future economy.
In the next phase of SFDW implementation, SFDW 2.0 will focus on four key areas: data analytics, automation, cybersecurity risk and in-demand digital tools. Carefully curated by experts from NYP’s School of Information Technology, the course is filled with practical tips and interactive experiences. NYP offers both the SFDW 2.0 generic syllabus as well as contextualised content for the below targeted sectors:
- Food Services
- Manufacturing
- Retail
- Tourism (inclusive of Hotel and Accommodation Services), and
- Transportation
There are also specialised runs for the F&B and retail industries at NYP's Asian Culinary Institute (ACI) and Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS) respectively.

This 2-day course prepare participants to anticipate workplace digital changes and be aware of current and emerging technological and data trends.
It will focus on four key areas: data analytics, automation, cybersecurity risk and in-demand digital tools.
Through SFDW 2.0 implementation, digital and future-ready individuals and employers will be able to:
a. Adjust to and anticipate digital changes in workplaces;
b. Be aware of current, emerging technologies as well as data trends;
c. Develop confidence to navigate their learning and career pathways throughout life stages; and
d. Perform functional tasks in the digital economy and know the associated cybersecurity risks.

This course prepares participants to anticipate workplace digital changes and be aware of current and emerging technological and data trends in the manufacturing Industry. It will focus on four key areas: data analytics, automation, cybersecurity risk and in-demand digital tools.
