Impact Our future - Touching Lives Through Teaching
Our heartiest congratulations to the winners of the Caring Teacher Awards (CTA) Logo Design Competition! This is indeed a joyous moment for seven of our Diploma in Visual Communication First Year Students
The CTA Logo Design Competition is a collaboration between NIE and the School of Design. The project to redesign the CTA logo commenced in October 2018 and 76 students worked on their individual designs for this competition. This industry project is part of a module in our Year 1 and in line with SDN’s practice to infuse industry realism in our curriculum through such collaboration.
The students were passionate and focussed on creating identities and the relationally brand stories for this industry project. This is evident in the ways these young hearts displayed their respect and appreciation to their beloved teachers who inspired them in their growing up years and enlightened them.
The client panel was led by Patricia Campbell (Head | Public, International and Alumni Relations, NIE), Nick Alpin (Chairman NIE), Paul Lincoln (NIE), Karen Wong (ExxonMobil) and our team of three lecturers. They attended a three-hour session before arriving at a tough decision to identify the most compelling storytelling behind a great Identify for the CTA.
The unveiling of the new CTA logo will be in the second half of the year. Look out for the opening for nominations of CTA 2020 in August 2019!
