Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Gerontology)

Registered nurses who meet all the admission requirements.

• A registered nurse with a Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic;
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board;
• At least 1 year's post-registration experience with a minimum of 6 months in the discipline of study;
• Supported by his/her employer.

Details of the course will be announced as and when the course is offered.  The course will be conducted when there is a sufficient number of applicants.  Applicants are to submit their application online together with their supporting documents.

NB: An incomplete submisson may not be considered.

Clinical training is an integral component of this programme. All prospective learners must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine regime recognised in Singapore. Those who are medically-ineligible will be subject to prevailing MOH and healthcare institutions’ guidelines. Those who are medically eligible and choose to remain unvaccinated may not be able to access the healthcare and community care settings to complete their clinical posting and meet the clinical training requirement necessary for graduation. Learners must also comply to all the screening and vaccination requirements applicable to all healthcare students. NYP will endeavour its best effort in securing clinical training placements for learners in appropriate clinical areas accredited by the Singapore Nursing Board. In the event of any changes to prevailing guidelines on clinical training matters, learners’ clinical placement might be delayed.
