Course Aims
The course aims to comprehensively address issues of environmental fit, for seniors and/or persons with cognitive impairment (associated with dementia) and their families, by introducing applicable elderly- and dementia-inclusive technology/IOT and environmental design in the living space. The careful curation/inclusion of appropriate technology/IOT and environmental design in managing a person’s response and adaptation to his/her living space is a critical component in ensuring that an individual can thrive independently. This applies to each dedicated/common space in a typical home.
