Applying to DAE (Singapore IP/IB)
Can I apply?
You may apply for your desired full-time diploma courses through the Direct Admission Exercise if you have completed either of the following in Singapore:
- Integrated Programme Year 6 and obtained an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
- Integrated Programme Year 4 (IPY4 or Sec 4 equivalent) and have your school-based results
If you are assessed based on IB results, you must meet the following minimum course entry requirements:
- English: Minimum grade 5
- Mathematics: Minimum grade 5
- 1 relevant and 2 best subjects: Minimum grade 5
If you are assessed based on IPY4/school-based results, the course entry requirements will be similar to that for GCE 'O' Level qualification.
Do note that some courses may require additional medical check-up or specific test (e.g., manual dexterity test is required for the Diploma in Oral Health Therapy).
For selected Design & Media or Business courses, you are required to prepare a digital portfolio or portfolio statement as part of the application process.

Phase 1: 11 Jan to 16 Jan 2024
Phase 2: 22 Feb to 28 Feb 2024
Submit your application online during the stated application period.
Upload the following via our Document Submission System within 3 working days from the application submission date as instructed in the Online Application System:
- identification document (front & back if applicable) or passport
- result slip or academic transcript
- For application using local IB, please also provide your IPY4 results
- CCA records
- digital portfolio (if applying for courses offered by School of Design & Media)
- Company Sponsorship Form (PDF, 0.05MB) (if applicable)
Please ensure your name / identification number is clearly shown in all the documents submitted.
If you encounter any problems, please email contactNYP@nyp.edu.sg with
- screenshot(s) of the error message or issue you have encountered,
- your name, and
- last 4 characters of the ID you used during your application.
Application outcome
You will receive enrolment notifications via sms and email by end March/April if you have been successfully posted to NYP. You will need to log in to the NYP e-enrolment system to accept the course offer and complete the enrolment process. Check out the academic calendar on course commencement date.
