A Gold award app that can measure your emotions, developed by NYP student Vinleon Koh.

Diploma in Business & Informatics student Vinleon Koh reaped the Gold award at the annual SiTF Awards Ceremony and ICM Industry Gala Reception. The event was organised by the Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) to honour the most innovative "Made-in-Singapore" companies in the infocomm and technology sector. "Made-in-Singapore" companies refer to those where product development and R&D are done within Singapore.

This year, the awards moved its focus to the vibrant startup scene in Singapore as well as the schools so as to nurture the next generation of ICT technopreneurs. The awards attracted 200 high-quality entries from students, working professionals and researchers from the industry.

Vinleon's project, the Emotional Analysis Buddy (EAB) app, won the Best Innovative ICM Student Project (Tertiary) category. The EAB app is a self-management app that allows users to monitor their state of emotion through daily activities on their smartphones. It extracts, identifies and characterises the pattern of emotional statuses through input analysis and updates users on their emotional stress changes.
