Thanks to a new collaboration initiative between NYP and Chengdu Polytechnic (CP), six SIT and two SBM students went to Chengdu, China in September for their overseas industry internship. For 12 weeks, they worked in the areas of IT and business development at four IT start-ups based at CP. Lai Lingxiu, an SIT student from the Diploma in Business Intelligence & Analytics, recounts her experience: "It was a very rewarding experience for me. I realised how difficult it was in the real working world where we had to meet our client's requirements. With perseverance and our supervisor's mentorship, I am glad that we managed to accomplish the project together."

The internship has also allowed our students to understand Chengdu's unique business, social and cultural fabric, make new friends and improve their Mandarin. To commemorate this successful partnership, an MOU will be signed between both institutions soon.
