NYP Competitors gunning for medals at 12th WorldSkills ASEAN 2018 Competition

They were amazing in the Singapore WorldSkills Competition. Now they are  poised to showcase their skills on the world’s stage.

Eight NYP competitors - part of the 40-strong team of youths - are representing Singapore in the 12th WorldSkills ASEAN 2018 Competition to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from August 31 to September 2 2018. These NYP competitors bagged either gold or silver medals in the WorldSkills Singapore – the national leg of the competition – held July 5-7 this year. They are:

Said Jamie Jessica Leong from the Diploma in Animation who is competing in Graphic Design Technology: “I feel honoured to represent Singapore. It is a good opportunity for me to put my skills to the test and compete with other talented individuals in this region. I hope to widen my exposure and learn from them. This is an exciting and new experience for me.”

The results of the competition will be announced at the closing ceremony of WorldSkills ASEAN on September 4 2018. Watch this space for the results!
