The short film, “Yungman” produced by our School of Interactive and Digital Media students was picked as one of the three films to represent Singapore in the Annual International Children’s Film Festival in Hokkaido, Japan.

Held as part of Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Cultural Programme, the festival aims to promote friendship and goodwill among Asian young youths through filmmaking.

During the nine-day cultural programme in late November 2018, our students presented and showcased their short film to the host country and 15 other ASEAN participants. They have also shared their knowledge and insights of our unique Singaporean multi-cultural identity and customs with our Asian friends.

In addition, our students also experienced Japan’s culture and tradition through site visits, sports activities and local school exchanges with Japanese students.
