Designing for Social Impact
School of Design & Media Published on 15 Feb 2020

175 hours, 30 students, 5 wall murals and lots of paint – that’s what our students from the School of Design have been busy with the last couple of weekends at Lengkok Bahru.

The team wanted to brighten up the neighbourhood and create a hotspot to increase foothold and connectivity. After numerous consultations and revisions, Huat Cat was created to usher in the new year.

In partnership with Central Singapore CDC, Seeing the Obvious is a joint community project with 3Pumpkins to activate and transform public spaces in ways that connect people and create a sense of belonging. Come and feel the neighbourhood vibes at Lengkok Bahru from 15 to 22 Feb.
