Spatial Design students excel at design competition

Our Year Two students recently did us proud at the American Standard Design Award (ASDA) competition.

Organised by American Standard – a global brand primarily known for their sanitary wares – the ASDA seeks to promote user-centric design philosophy by combining thoughtful designs and innovative technologies.

Over 50 NYP students took part in the "Residential Bathroom Space Design" category. They were up against more than 200 participants from various educational institutions and took home five awards: 2nd place, 3rd place and three runners-up awards.

Goh Yi Ling, who clinched second place, says: “One of the challenges I faced was making the most of the limited space while trying to meet the needs of the target audience. This was my first design competition, so winning it was a pleasant surprise for me.”

This is the first time our students took part in this competition.
