Course objectives
With business environment becoming more competitive, the sourcing and procurement function is also evolving to play a more significant role in the success of an organization. Through this one-day program, the learners will be able to apply the concepts in strategic global sourcing with reference to the real-world examples, trends, and best practices. The learners will be equipped with skills in supplier evaluation and selection, worldwide sourcing, sourcing systems and contract management. Learners will also acquire deeper insights into sustainability sourcing and values in an organization.
Course description
Through this course, learners will be equipped with the competency to: 1. Evaluate worldwide sourcing decisions in assessing the benefits and challenges faced by a firm. 2. Conduct supplier evaluation and selection using key principles and established criteria for sourcing. 3. Conduct supply base optimization using results from supplier performance measurement. 4. Evaluate the importance of sustainability and its values when they are applied in the sourcing functions of a firm.
