Course objectives
Warehouse is an integral part to any supply chain of a business. The efficient and effective operation of a warehouse and management of its inventory have a large impact on the overall supply chain in a firm. Through this one day program,the learners will be able to formulate strategies to maximise efficiency in a warehouse. The learners will integrate various technologies to improve performances in basic warehouse processes. Learners will also be equipped with some data analytic skills to optimise inventory management.
Course description
Through this course, learners will be equipped with the competency to: 1. Explain warehouse operations with reference to receiving, putaway, pick and pack strategies. 2. Enhance warehouse operations through use of Material Handling Equipment, Automation and Artificial Intelligence systems. 3. Formulate an inventory management plan in a warehouse using various inventory control methodologies. 4. Perform data analytics to forecast demand of inventory using forecasting tools.
