About this course

Course objectives

Learners will be awarded the Diploma in Engineering (Public Transport Operations) upon successful completion of five of the following Modular Certificates: - Modular Certificate in Mechanical and Electrical Fundamentals - Modular Certificate in Modelling and Circuit Analysis - Modular Certificate in Transport Ops Safety and Security Management - Modular Certificate in Station Operations and Management - Modular Certificate in Service Management Total training hours: 900

Entry Requirements Admission RequirementsTo be eligible for admission, applicants must meet any one of the following:GCE 'O' Level with at least 3 relevant passes and at least 1 year of relevant work experienceNitec with GPA ≥ 3.5Nitec with GPA ≥ 3.0 and at least 1 year of relevant work experienceHigher Nitec with GPA ≥ 2.0Higher Nitec with GPA ≥ 1.5 and at least 1 year of relevant work experienceNitec in Technology with GPA ≥ 3.5 and at least 1 year of relevant work experienceHigher Nitec in Technology with GPA ≥ 2.0 and at least 1 year of relevant work experienceRelevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) and at least 1 year of relevant work experience, and Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level ≥ 6At least 2 years of relevant work experience (subject to interview/assessment) Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)Applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements may still be considered for admission to the course based on prior learning and evidence of competency readiness. Course description

The proposed course aims to level up the operation capability of transport operators in Singapore and emphasises its positive impact on achieving sustainable mobility, economic growth, and social well-being. It will support the front-line staff, who are the station managers and operation managers, equipping them with the technical and technological knowhow to better perform their job functions, to maintain the expectation and reliability of our transport services.
