Course objectives

The Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Diabetes Management and Education) aims to equip registered nurses with the knowledge and skills to identify at risk group to prevent or delay the onset and progression of diabetes and to care for diabetic clients to prevent the onset of chronic diseases.

Course description

The Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Diabetes Management and Education) will be offered part-time over 32 weeks, covering the following PDCs:

1. Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles of Diabetes Management and Education (135 hours)

2. Post-Diploma Certificate in in Practice of Diabetes Management and Education (155 hours)

Registered nurses who meet the minimum admission requirements for the course.
