Course objectives
The Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Gerontology) aims to equip fresh nursing graduates with in-depth knowledge and skills in gerontology nursing to meet the healthcare needs of the older adults with complex health problems in a variety of settings.
Course description
The Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Gerontology) will be offered part-time over 52 weeks, with lessons conducted once a week on Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. Clinical module will be on a shift basis on scheduled Wednesdays. Below are the PDCs under this course:
PDC1: Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Science of Gerontology Nursing (180 hrs)
PDC2: Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Gerontology Nursing (200 hrs)
