About this course

Course objectives

TGS-2020001526 (Progressive Wage Model module for Food Services sector)

All Food Handlers, whether working in retail or non-retail food establishments licensed by Singapore Food Agency, must attain this certification.

Retail food establishments include hawker stalls, food stalls at canteens, and restaurants. Non-retail food establishments include food manufacturers and food processing plants.

A Food Handler is defined as any person who handles and prepares food and beverages within food establishments licensed by Singapore Food Agency.

Course description

Upon completion of this course, learners will develop the abilities to:Understand the importance of practicing good personal hygiene.Using and handling of ingredients in food preparation.Storage of food safely.Maintain cleanliness of utensils, equipment and service / storage areas.

Food & Beverage HandlersIndividuals who wish to join the Food Services sector(This course is for the low wage workers in the PWM-Food Services Sector)
