Principal’s message

Mr Russell Chan, PCEO, Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP)

Dear Class of 2026,

Today marks a new milestone in your journey. 

I speak on behalf of many of your lecturers and advisors who have watched you grow: We are incredibly proud of you.

We have seen you navigate your journey in NYP with resilience, creativity, and determination. Your dedication to academic excellence, innovative zest, and the time taken to hone your skills have developed you into all-rounded individuals.

You joined NYP when technology was being redefined. AI became a mainstay, reshaping how we learn, work, and live. You did not just adapt; you embraced it. Your cohort experimented with new tools, harnessed emerging technologies, and collaborated across disciplines to solve real-world challenges.

Beyond academics, you expanded your horizons through overseas internships or exchange programmes, excelled in competitions, worked on large-scale innovation projects, explored new technologies, and still found time to give back through community service.

The tempo was fast, but your cohort more than found its footing. Through it all, you’ve blossomed into individuals of remarkable independence and resourcefulness.

You have gained more than just knowledge. You’ve built skills, friendships, and memories that will last for a lifetime. As you embark on your next bold step – further studies, work, or your own ventures – go with confidence.

Stay curious. Keep learning. Approach challenges with fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. Show the world your can-do spirit and your human touch. You know you can.
