What You'll Study

  • NYP-ACCA Accelerated Pathway Programme and Ernst & Young partnership

In 2015, NYP and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants  (ACCA) collaborated to develop a fast-track route that allows Diploma in Accountancy & Finance students to work concurrently towards acquiring the prestigious ACCA professional accounting qualification before graduation.

The NYP ACCA Accelerated Pathway Programme also partners Big Four accounting firm, Ernst and Young (EY), in offering an Enhanced Internship Programme.  The Enhanced Internship Programme incorporates a combination of classroom learning, structured training and mentorship. Thus, providing a holistic and rigorous on-the-job training for the students and paving the way for a smooth transition into the professional work environment.

  • NYP's Diploma in Accountancy & Finance partnerships: a short-cut to your professional accountancy certification

Diploma in Accountancy & Finance's rigorous course structure and close ties with distinguished professional accounting bodies such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has culminated in Diploma in Accountancy & Finance graduates being granted the highest number of exemptions from professional certification papers amongst all polytechnic diplomas - 6 from ACCA, 7 from ICAEW, and 7 from CIMA. This paves the way for our graduates to becoming professional accountants in a shorter span of time.

Outstanding DAF Alumni Outperform Peers in University

Graduating from NYP in 2012, Chester Chow Wai Mun, Tan Jing Long and Larry Liauw went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy at Nanyang Technological University (Chester and Jing Long) and Singapore Institute of Technology (Larry). Chester and Jing Long graduated this year from NTU with First Class Honours; and Larry graduated from SIT with Honours with Highest Distinction.

They shared that their three years in NYP had played a vital role in laying the foundation required for their university education. In Chester’s words, “I have never regretted choosing NYP, the knowledge gained from my polytechnic studies gave me an edge over my peers in NTU. I will always appreciate the valuable lessons taught by my passionate and knowledgeable lecturers."

Congratulations Chester, Jing Long and Larry, we are so proud of you!
